Which Is Worse??

Sunday, April 19th, 2009

I was reading a blog, on a local paper no less, and the woman was cracking me up. She delved into a subject that is usually kept to one’s self because of the embarrassment factor. She was talking about the afternoon she spent on the neighbor’s trampoline with her daughter and how she had to run home to change her pants. Yes, life after child birth brings on the need for incontinence supplies. I’m not sure if it’s worse after childbirth–when the baby is out. Or during pregnancy with 5 pounds of baby sitting on your bladder.

Bad Skin Still

When you have been in bed for 4 weeks straight, you start finding things that you can do while there. Recently I’ve worked on sewing projects, craft items, heck, I’ve even finagled the ironing board so I can iron in bed. But sitting with a mirror just a few inches from my face in order to put my make up on, or wash and moisturize it, I can honestly say, I’m up for microdermabrasion!

Doubtful it can be done from the comforts of my own bed, so it will have to wait until after I am done. But after so many years with problem skin, I’m definitely looking forward to the idea!

Not Gonna Do It!

Have you heard about the big change coming up in a few years? After 2012 you will not be able to purchase the normal, run of the mill light bulbs any more. It will only be the “environmentally friendly” swirly ones. Yes, the ones that send you to the ER for Mercury poisoning if you break…yeah, I’m real excited about that! NOT! So we have started our own little stockpile of light bulbs. Every size, every watt…we are covered! And the best thing…unlike storing food…light bulbs never go bad!

Catching Up

I have been chatting with my sister quite a lot lately. She is on an extreme weight loss kick in order to get to her 20 year high school reunion this fall. She ordered some of the best diet pills and a program that goes a long with them. I must admit, I was skeptical at first, but I’ve been pretty surprised. She’s looking really good.

I’m not in any possible position to start looking at getting back into shape….prego and all. But as soon as this baby is here, and 6 weeks old, I’m right back at it. I think I’m going mental in this bed here. I just can’t wait to get back into the gym. Heck, the back patio sounds like Heaven these days!

Have You Missed Me??

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Oh MY!! This past couple of months has been a whirlwind. This is pregnancy number 5, and suddenly…we have “baby drama”! Yep! I’ve been put on bed rest. I have to say, I always thought that sounded so nice. You know just one of those moments when you get to say, “Oh Honey, could you get that…my doctor won’t let me get out of bed!” Can you imagine the luxury of lounging around in bed all day long? It sounds like heaven, doesn’t it! Well…………………..

It’s NOT cool! Especially with four kids wreaking havoc on my house while I lounge in said bed! My parents are being so cool. They are trying to find ways to help out any way they can. They are trying to locate rv parks near by, so that my mom can help me with the kids. How sweet is that?

So, my sister has set me up with her laptop, and I’m chillin’ in my bed hoping to get back into the swing of things!

Wish me luck!
